Getting into Flow, with Oren Harris

I'm excited to share that I recently had the opportunity to record a conversation with Oren Harris, who I can best introduce with some of his own words:

"As an Oracle I see you in your innocence and pure God-essence, and reflect that back to you without distortion. As a pure channel I will illuminate and mirror back what is occurring in your consciousness and highlight blindspots that can hold the key(s) to your breakthrough and freedom."

If you know me well, you'll know this is not the first time I've had a conversation with someone via zoom. But it is certainly the first conversation that goes this deep into what it means to be human, and I absolutely loved the time, space, and energy Oren share with me, and in turn with you!

I hope you enjoy learning about Oren and the work he does as much as I do. Here's a brief intro to the conversation:

Oren describes his journey from teaching and coaching sports to becoming a life coach after having a breakthrough experience. He reflects on a transformative public speaking experience where he realized that limiting beliefs restrict us from experiencing flow. Oren explains how he helped a CEO overcome frustration by releasing shame and connecting with his true self, enabling creative problem-solving. He emphasizes the importance of healing trauma, unconditioning from limited identities, and allowing oneself to feel emotions without resistance in order to increase flow. Oren discusses disrupting traditional education constructs that can hinder natural learning mechanisms needed to tap into our full potential. The conversation touches on triggers for change and personal growth that contribute to experiencing more flow in all areas of life.

Here's the longer synopsis:

Oren Harris and Matt Monday (myself) discuss Oren's profession as an awakened high performance coach, focusing on holistic approaches to self-realization and self-actualization. Oren describes his work with leaders and high performers who aim to uplift and enhance the world. Matt asks about how people find Oren, leading to a discussion of his speaking engagements and content creation on social media platforms like Instagram and YouTube. Oren shares his journey from teaching and coaching sports to becoming an entrepreneur, actor, and ultimately a life coach after experiencing a breakthrough session himself. He emphasizes the importance of deep self-inquiry in discovering one's purpose. The conversation ends with Oren sharing his initial anxieties about public speaking but deciding to embrace authenticity during his first talk.

Oren Harris reflects on a transformative speaking experience where he received a standing ovation and realized his true essence. The feedback he received sparked curiosity about the nature of flow and how to access it. Initially, Oren saw flow as something external that could be hacked into, but he later had a revelation that he is not separate from the flow. This realization shifted his perception of self and influenced his pursuit of flow. He understood that our limited beliefs about ourselves restrict us, and tapping into a broader consciousness opens us up to experiencing flow.

Oren Harris gives a tangible example of how he helped a high-performing CEO overcome frustration and find flow. The CEO was able to release shame and access his true self, which led to creative problem-solving. Oren explains that unresolved trauma or negative experiences from childhood can block energy and limit flow. He emphasizes the importance of healing, releasing limiting beliefs, and connecting with one's true self for achieving flow. Matt Monday asks about other factors that may hinder accessing flow, leading to a discussion on different types of childhood experiences that can impact one's ability to tap into flow. Oren describes ideal clients as driven individuals who value being their authentic selves.

Oren Harris discusses how an individual's connection with their true self affects their perception and decision-making in both personal and professional realms. He emphasizes the importance of adjusting one's identity and work to accommodate their soul's evolution. Oren also highlights the significance of allowing oneself to feel emotions without trying to fix or change them, as it contributes to emotional freedom and overall high performance. He explains that suppressing feelings can block the flow of energy needed for maximum self-expression and accessing flow states. Moreover, he mentions that resistance to boredom or doing nothing can hinder one's progress in developing flow mastery.

Oren Harris discusses the resistance we have to certain emotions and how it affects our consciousness. He explains that liberating this energy increases our overall flow score. Matt Monday acknowledges that these concepts can apply to anyone, not just high performers. They discuss the importance of disrupting traditional education to tap into natural learning mechanisms. Oren emphasizes that building an identity is a construct and by unconditioning ourselves, we can access our true potential and experience more flow in all areas of life. The conversation also touches on triggers for change and personal growth.

“Life can be so much broader, once you discover one simple fact, and that is that everything around you that you call ‘life’ was made up by people who were no smarter than you. And you can change it, you can influence it, you can build your own things that other people can use. Once you learn that, you’ll never be the same again.” - Steve Jobs
